Emerging Color Technique
This technique has some wow, but at its heart it is really a resist technique. Items you will need for this technique include:
Clear Embossing Powder
Paper Towel or Tissue
Ink your stamps with several different colors of ink. I used the Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set and Papillion Potpourri. I stamped Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Coastal Cabana repeatedly on a piece of Whisper White to creating my own designer paper.
Use your Embossing Buddy over your entire piece before continuing. Depending on the image you have already stamped on your Whisper White, your finished project could turn out with tons of color or whiter, so remember that when you are stamping your first images. Tip: Pick a bold stamp like Betsy’s Blossoms to use for your heat embossing instead of a finely detailed image. You will get much better results.
Next use VersaMark and stamp your image over your smaller images.
The third step is to cover your VersaMark images with Clear Embossing Powder and Heat Emboss. Tilt your paper this way and that to make sure you get all of your VersaMark images covered and heat embossed.
The next step is to cover your entire piece with color. I used Strawberry Slush ink with my Brayer. You could use a sponge or dauber, but with a large piece I found that the Brayer gave me great coverage and was quick and easy. Tip: Turn your page around several times to get even coverage. Use a darker color ink for this step.
Next you will want to remove the ink from the VersaMark images. I used a dry tissue.
Here is my finished card, hope you get some inspiration....
