Operation Christmas Child

Recently, I along with Judy Dibert worked with the Bedford Senior Center members to create decorative tins and notebooks for our 1st Annual Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.  We had a great turn out and after all the tins and notebooks were decorated with pretty papers and embellishments, they were filled with items like sewing, school, and manicure kits supplied by Ruth Maruca.

You can find more information on Operation Christmas Child here.

There are several places to drop off your Operation Christmas Child boxes after you have filled them.  Hobby Lobby, many local Churches, and the Bedford Senior Center (Nov. 16 and 17) are a few that I know of in the local area.  All of this years boxes must be dropped off during the week of November 16-23, 2015.

Thanks to everyone that participated.

  1. Great idea for the Christmas boxes. Would you mind sharing how you made the tins?

    1. We decorated metal tins with Designer Series Paper and then topper that with a matching border and layered punches. Many of the punched items had Dazzlin' Details or were made from glimmer paper.
