Acrylic Batik Technique

This is one of my Splitcoast Gallery Creative Crew cards that we made in Club recently.  I used the Splitcoast Technique, Acrylic Batik, found here.   When you use 3 different color families, the technique looks totally different.  For my card, I used all 3 yellow/gold acrylic paints.

Stamp Sets:  Eastern Beauty, Dragonfly Dreams, Touches of Texture

Inks and Papers:  Whisper White, Sky Blue, So Saffron, Black Archival Ink, Versamark Ink, 3 colors of yellow/gold acrylic paint, Wood Textures DSP Stack

Tools and Accessories:  Sponges/Daubers, Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Heat Tool, Acrylic Paint, Old Plastic Credit Card, Clear Embossing Powder, SU Markers

The Acrylic Batik Background was used on Whisper White paper after it was run through the Big Shot with the Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder.  The effect is more of realistic.

Inside Sentiment.

The bee was created by using the bee stamp from Dragonfly Dreams with Black Archival Ink.  I used both the So Saffron and Sky Blue markers to give it a life-like look.

Until Next Time,
